Nota bene
For years, I’ve been scribbling little thoughts onto scraps of colorful paper, torn into uneven shapes, as fleeting reminders to myself. These fragments, vibrant in hues of green, blue, fiery orange, and soft lavender, find their way into books, scatter across the kitchen table, or hang pinned to the wall like quiet witnesses of memory. They serve not just to remember but to ensure nothing precious is forgotten.
Each note, in its randomness and color, becomes a vivid trace of the things I hold dear.
From this intimate ritual comes “Nota Bene,” a series of luminous photograms — chromogenic prints I like to think of as “light collages.” Born in the mysterious embrace of the darkroom, these compositions are whispered into existence. In complete darkness, light dances through, delicately imprinting their stories onto photosensitive paper, layer by layer, with an array of glowing sources.
They are moments of light, memory, and intention — woven together in quiet alchemy.
